Enough new free subscribers to Economic Principals have turned up in the last month that I feel I had better explain what is going on here.
EP appeared weekly in The Boston Globe for twenty years, another twenty since online. The weekly edition became a monthly last summer while I finish a sequel to Knowledge and the Wealth of Nations: A story of economic discovery (Norton, 2007).
Paying subscribers receive the new monthly via email and the Substack app early on the first Sunday of the month, or close to it, depending on the calendar. Free riders receive a short pay-walled tease to remind them that EP is a reader-supported enterprise, and that they are passing up some interesting news. EP Reader Reviews go to everyone at irregular interviews.
Warm thanks to all paying subscribers who have renewed or recently signed on!
EP intends to write exclusively about economists and economics in the coming year. Reader Reviews are another matter. It will be difficult to stay away from the news altogether in another astonishing year.
