Nice to hear some hopefulness about climate change. Many of the most damaging effects are of course already underway, like sea level rise. Geo-engineering might help. But our present course of maximizing consumption will kill us one way or another. Grassroots efforts to get people to stop buying so much stuff they don't need, especially plastic and energy-consuming gadgets, might be most helpful in the long run, especially if they encourage governments to impose carbon taxes.
