Hi, all,

Economists may see this as replacing equality with efficiency, but I think non-economists saw this as replacing equality with lower prices. And then we discovered that often a monopoly can supply lower prices, so we lost interest in anti-trust regulation, which - it seems to me and Winston - can be a useful role for government.

Thanks for provoking thoughts on Sunday morning. Go, 49ers! (Sorry, Philadelphians ....)
